In 2014 when founders Joshua and Jevry Denny lived in Maryland, they were introduced to the sport of weight pull at the Maryland Dog Festival. Soon after, they had visited a weight pull club and found the whole family enjoyed the sport.

When they returned to Washington, they tried to find a local weight pull club but found the nearest clubs to be a 3 – 4 hour drive. Joshua pitched the idea to start our own club – based on the one we had attended in Maryland. A community of people and their pets who would meet once a week to practice weight pulling.
